Behavioral Health

The Behavioral Health Team at Open Door provides comprehensive
psychiatric, mental health and substance use screens, assessment, treatment
therapies and referrals in a safe and confidential environment.

We specialize in providing services for people who identify as LGBTQI, people
living with HIV/AIDS and their families and friends. We are culturally aware
and sensitive to the unique needs and concerns of individuals that are part of
our community.
Open Door’s Behavioral Health Department offers the following
services:

Psychiatric Services:

  • Evaluations
  • Med Administration & Education
  • Med Monitoring

Behavioral Health Services (Mental Health and Substance Use Treatment):

  • Individual Behavioral Therapy
  • Group Therapy
  • Crisis Management
  • Referral to appropriate levels of care

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN I COME TO OPEN DOOR FOR BEHAVIORAL HEALTH SUPPORT?

Prior to your 1 st Appointment: We will ask for your insurance information.
For individuals who do not have insurance, our billing department will work
with you to make payment arrangements. Please call (630) 264-1819, Ext.336
and ask for Debbie.

Appointment 1: We work together to complete an initial assessment and
match you with a therapist.

Please make sure to bring the following items to this appointment:

  • Insurance Card
  • List or bottles of all current medications
  • Names, phone numbers of all previous and current behavioral health and medical providers.

Appointment 2: Work with your behavioral specialist to develop a better
understanding of your challenges and needs.

Appointment 3: Work with your behavioral specialist to create your plan for
meeting your goals.
