While Open Door provides specialized and primary medical care to people who are living with HIV/AIDS, we understand that our patients general health needs are equally as important. Our staff are specifically trained to provide comprehensive care for all our patients health needs. Preventive medicine interventions, diagnosis and treatment of chronic and acute medical conditions and coordination of subspecialty care are provided by our dedicated medical team.
Patients are expected and encouraged to be involved in their care and take responsibility for personal health maintenance and preventive care. To help patients achieve good health, Open Doors’ medical team are always available to educate and refer patients to other services as needed. Peer education is a vital part of the services at Open Door. In addition, our medical staff can help patients by providing medical case management referrals, oral health, behavioral health and substance abuse services. Professionals in all departments work together to develop treatment plans. We are proud of our job, come and see what we are about.
