Unmask your love of All Things Chocolate. Experience the excitement of picturesque Bourbon Street  and enjoy a celebration of the arts including music & dancing, street performers, auctions, raffles, delectable culinary & drink treats and samplings of the best chocolate confections. As we celebrate Open Door's 40th Anniversary, this annual gala will include special presentations and awards throughout the evening. Masks are encouraged. Black tie optional. Advocacy Training in Aurora Help open doors for people living with HIV/AIDS. Attending this free training will teach you how to make your voice heard on issues including access to health care, HIV housing and more! Presented by AIDS Foundation of Chicago, this training is vital if you are attending the Illinois Virtual Advocacy Day on April 26th or the Illinois Advocacy Day in Springfield on May 17th. Take a stand for health equity and the HIV community. Join the efforts!! Lunch will be provided. Registration required.

Advocacy Day in Springfield Join Team Open Door during Illinois Advocacy Day in Springfield on May 17th from 6am to 6pm. The Open Door group will leave from Aurora and Elgin, taking a van together traveling to Springfield. While there, we will join advocates from throughout the state to learn about the current issues facing those living with HIV/AIDS and visit with elected officials to educate them about the importance of continuing involvement with the HIV community. All attendees MUST complete one advocacy training offered on March 15, April 13 or May 3. To register, use the form below. Elgin Fox Trot Charity 2K Walk

Registration is open for you to Walk With A Cause at the Elgin Fox Trot. When you register online for the 2-mile Walk for a Cause, the city of Elgin will donate your registration fee to Open Door – just select the Open Door in the drop-down menu on the registration page. The 2-mile walk sets off from our start-finish line at the corner of Kimball and Douglas and follows a circular route through downtown and along the Fox River.  The course map is available here.  The route is suitable for families. Strollers and well-controlled, leashed dogs are welcome to take part. Team Open Door will meet at 164 Division Street (in front of the building we used to be in) at 7:30. The walk begins at 7:55 a.m. Register here - make sure you choose Open Door as your cause when you register for us to receive your donation.

The Open Door Client Advisory Committee (CAC) invites you to join in the fun at a summer Bowling Party on June 4 from 1:30-3:30pm at St. Charles Bowl. Everyone is welcome! The event is FREE for all Open Door Clients/Patients & their children under 12  Cost is $6 for children of clients 12+, family & friends (including all other children) The event includes Shoe rental 2 hours of bowling Lunch & snacks Space is limited so RSVPs are needed before June 2.
