Behavioral Health

The Behavioral Health Team at Open Door provides comprehensive psychiatric, mental health and substance use screens, assessment, treatment and referrals in a safe and confidential environment. We specialize in providing services for people who identify as LGBTQI, people living with HIV/AIDS and their families and friends. We are culturally aware and sensitive to the unique needs and concerns of individuals what are part of our community.

Open Door’s Behavioral Health Department offers the following services:

Psychiatric Services:

  • Diagnostic evaluation
  • Discharge planning & inpatient support
  • Psychiatric medication management
  • Follow up care that is tailored to the unique needs of clients with coexisting health issues

Behavioral Health Services:

  • Diagnostic evaluation
  • Behavioral health discharge planning
  • Chronic disease and chronic pain management
  • Non-intensive Substance Use, ASAM assessment, referral and treatment
  • Health related anxiety and trauma
  • Depression and related mood disorders
  • Learning to live a fulfilling life with HIV
  • Stigma associated with HIV/AIDS, mental health, substance use and LGBTQI concerns
  • Cognitive function screening & referral
  • Life stress management related to employment, relationships and finances
